William Earl (Bill) Davis 


Bill Davis has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Vass since 2006 and has served as pastor of the church for the past 9 years. Bill received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University and a Masters of Divinity Degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as a representative of the IMB(International Mission Board) of the Southern Baptist Convention in various countries in Central and South America to include Costa Rica and Bolivia. Bill is married and has six children. 


After resigning from the IMB,Bill continued to live and work in South America as a private citizen. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. As pastor of the Vass FBC,he is passionate about missions and travels frequently to South America where he remains involved in ministry to various indigenous groups who live in remote areas of Bolivia. He has led small groups across Bolivia stretching from the desert area in the southern region to the Amazonian rainforest in northeastern Bolivia. Bill is an avid outdoorsman and at home in a austere environment.
